- Does it hurt?
This is a question I get on a daily basis. Unfortunately, it's one of the hardest questions to answer because everyone is so different. For some people piercings are painful, and for others, not so much. The good news is that a piercing takes about half a second to preform so even if it does hurt, it's minimized to only a moments time.
- I am a minor. Can I get pierced?
Yes and no. I take this on a case by case basis and will need to speak with your parent or legal guardian first. They are welcome to contact me via email or phone. Please check out the "Piercing for Minors" section of my website for more info.
- What should I do before I come in?
There are a few easy things you can do that will make your piercing experience much easier and more enjoyable for the both of us:
- Get a good nights sleep.
- Eat a small meal
- Make sure you have a valid ID
Remember, if you aren't feeling good physically or mentally, getting a piercing isn't going to be fun. Please do not come in hungover.
- I think something is wrong with my piercing. What should I do?
Before you make any serious decisions or assumptions about your piercing please contact me. I am more then happy to help you at any time during and after the healing of your piercing.
- Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are not necessary, but they do ensure you are seen without any wait time and also that I will be in. To schedule and appointment with me you will need to call during business hours or stop in to leave a $25 deposit. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE but does go towards the price of your piercing when you come in. If you do not show up without giving me any notice you will lose your deposit. If you are late for your appointment without notice you will lose your deposit.
- I can't find Cherryworks. Are you inside Tattoo Paradise?
Yes! I am located inside of Tattoo Paradise right across the street from the Shady Grove metro station.
- Do you sell body jewelry separately or do I need to get a piercing?
You do not need to get a piercing to pick up some cool new body jewelry. I have a lot to choose from.
- I want to buy my friend jewelry but I don't know their size.
I have gift certificates available so your friend can come pick out whatever they'd like and I will make sure they get the right size for their piercing.
- Do you use a gun for piercing?
have never and would never use a gun for any piercing. I use single use sterile needles for each piercing. The needles are disposed of in a sharps container after they are used. You can read up on the dangers of piercing guns HERE.
- How do you sterilize your equipment?
ll of my equipment for piercing is sterilized in an autoclave. I spore test both of mine weekly.
- Can I bring my own jewelry to get pierced with?
For the health and safety of your piercing, we will not pierce you with outside jewelry.
